Helpful 1's is a youth council for individuals to come together and work towards creating something bigger!

Does your child want to be part of a new Youth Council? In the council, young people will work together with our support to gain grants, plan/organize events, motivate others to get involved in our community.

What’s involved:

• The events will be created entirely by the motivation from young people to do some good in their area. 
• Each member must be committed to work for one term which runs for 12 months.
• Attend monthly meetings to plan and prepare ideas. These will help establish roles within the group and be professionally chaired and miniated.
• Complete agreed tasks outside of meetings, to facilitate the event.

What young people can expect to gain:

• Positive influence on C.V for future employment
• Gaining self-fulfilment, by being part of something bigger than themselves
• Developed social skills and understanding when working with others.
• Understanding of work responsibility, planning, debating and professionalism
